In this article, we introduce Darren Hall, a local artist who works as much as possible from his home studio in Carterton. Art has been Darren’s therapy first and foremost since childhood, and more recently since a road traffic collision whilst cycling in 2012.
He has gained inspiration from Erin Hanson’s Impressionism, CS Lowry’s figures, Henderson Cisz’s
style and of course Bob Ross from his TV shows for his landscapes. His abstract work, however, including this fabulous heart and other subjects are his own visions.
Darren is self-taught and pushes himself with these many different styles to help aid and combat his severe brain injury and Complex PTSD. Currently part of a collection of local artisans, Darren is exhibiting at WestOxArts Gallery in Bampton until January. Currently displayed and for sale at the Gallery are the two landscape canvases included here. All of his art is available to purchase, and Darren will also take on commissions.
All enquiries should be emailed to: amdmhall@gmail.com or phone 07546067323. Please leave Darren a message if he does not answer.
