Cornerstone

Whether you’re into comedy, music, theatre, or family fun, Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot has something for everyone as part of its 2024 Summer Season.

Music highlights include, Maclaine Colston and Saul Rose, a classic hammered dulcimer and melodeon duo where you’ll enjoy an evening of great music and fun banter, in June there’s The 80’s Movie Mixtape that will take you on a journey through the iconic movies of the 80s, or All Floyd, highly regarded as having created one of the best and most authentic live experiences of Pink Floyd.

For children and families there’s The Bubble Show with Mr Bubbles and his extraordinary soap bubbles in all shapes and sizes, or The Selfish Giant with powerful storytelling, captivating puppetry, beautiful design, and enchanting music.

There’s some great theatre coming to the Cornerstone auditorium, a fresh and innovative approach to Romeo and Juliet, embracing physicality whilst celebrating the verse and bringing musicality and simplicity to the storytelling, or perhaps Austin’s Women: LADY SUSAN a darkly comic tale of society and the women trapped within it; their struggles, their desires, their temptations, and manipulations.

Cornerstone Art Centre will also be celebrating Pride in June with fabulously funny, sexy, and outrageous The Phwoar Next Door: Return of the Queers, there are also classes with Queer Yoga and Queer Life Drawing.

And for anyone looking to have some fun check out the comedy – there’s plenty, 15 Years of The Inbetweeners: In Conversation with Joe Thomas, enjoy an exclusive evening of hilarity and if you stick around you can meet Joe after the show!

America’s Got Talent winner Paul Zerdin is on tour with his new show Paul Zerdin: Puppet Man with an array of funny and sharp-tongued creations (these puppets are for those aged 14+).

Don’t forget it’s not just about what’s on the stage at Cornerstone, there’s a whole range of workshops, classes for all ages and the free gallery to view as well.
