Well, Didcot Events are here almost 30 years later, and this year’s installation is anticipated to be the biggest ever. A full day of celebrations, festive fayre, shopping, and community spirit.
Covid saw the end of the traditional Christmas Street fair but the first of the day events at the Christmas Festive Market showed us that the spirit of our community is certainly alive and well and our new event was so very successful.
In the past, we have welcomed thousands of people into our town from Didcot but also from the surrounding towns and villages. With such a jam-packed calendar this year we are really looking forward to 4 December being a day that epitomises everything festive.
We are so excited to announce that we have with over 70 stalls and charities attending with entertainers from our local community, choirs, funfairs and more. There will be heavy horses, nativity farms and of course Santa will be waiting outside of Cineworld to spread the Christmas cheer – expect a whole day of fun, frolics, and festivities.
This year more than ever, our independent traders and local companies deserve and indeed need our support which is why Didcot Town Magazine are dedicating the Christmas issue to our friends at Didcot events and their collaboration with the amazing Play2Give who work tirelessly to fundraise and make a difference to so many people that need that little bit of extra help. Come along and say hello, bring your family and eat, drink, and get into the festive spirit.
Use this day to shop local as its huge array of shops and traders both large and small will be on hand to help you choose those perfect gifts.
