An Inclusive Club at The Heart of The Community.

Didcot RUFC offers rugby for all, from ages 4 to 99+. We are proud to have some of the best facilities in the county at our home, Boundary Park, including two well-maintained floodlit pitches with modern changing rooms, and a clubhouse open to all, showing live sports. Didcot rugby club runs two adult men’s teams, an adult ladies’ team, minis and junior rugby for children, and walking rugby as well as touch rugby in the summer.

The adult men’s and women’s teams welcome players of all abilities, even individuals who haven’t played before. Men train on Tuesday and Thursday (19:30) and women on Monday and Wednesday (19:30). All teams play in competitive leagues, with games on a Saturday and Sunday for men’s and ladies’ respectively. We welcome all supporters for matches and this is a great opportunity to meet the teams and coaches.

Our club runs a thriving Minis and Juniors section. Starting from the age of 4, we offer rugby for boys and girls up to the age of 18. Our under 6, 7 and 8 teams play TAG rugby, a non-contact form of the game. Then from under 9s contact rugby is slowly and safely introduced. Up until the under 11 age group teams are made up with a mix of boys and girls, after which they split into girls and boys only teams. The aspects of the game, such as tackling, mauls, rucks, scrums, kicking, and lineouts are slowly introduced as players develop up the age grades. Minis and Juniors teams train on Sunday mornings from 10am, with junior teams also training mid-week.

Our walking rugby section allows individuals to carry on enjoying the sport and is a form of touch rugby played at a walking pace. New players are always welcome to join on Wednesdays at 19:30, players also meet socially afterwards in the clubhouse.

We have over 40 coaches at the club, all receive training regarding player safeguarding. We also offer access to England rugby coaching courses and have a number of coaches that have passed the England Rugby Coaching Award course. Without our army of volunteers, we would not be able to run our club and we thank all for their help.

We also thank our club sponsors that kindly support our club and provide vital financial help.
