Faringdon’s ‘Fynest’ Awards

Independent, quirky, and proud

divider

In a world that’s increasingly dominated by big-box retailers and online commerce, independent shops, trades and businesses stand as vital pillars of our local communities. They are the heart and soul of our community, pulsing with unique character, offering more than just goods and services but a genuine community spirit. Independent businesses provide a personal touch where owners and staff often know their customers by name, offering tailored recommendations. Family business, new and exciting entrepreneurs, reliable, accountable and right on our doorstep – our independents offer a diverse range of unique and eclectic products, often sourced locally or handmade, which you won’t find in chain stores.

Our independent shops often serve as cultural and social hubs too. Cafes, pubs, coffee shops and specialty shops offer spaces for community gatherings and events. They are venues for local artists to display their work or for musicians to play and creatives to gather, all contributing to the town’s cultural richness.

Faringdon has a wide range of independent businesses and retailers, both within the town and operating online. Collectively, they help infuse Faringdon’s community with a diverse culture, fostering economic growth for the town. A number support sustainability and all enhance the overall quality of life for those who live and work in the area.

We have incredible local trades people , some who have been serving the people of Faringdon for many years and others that are determined to be a positive force on our community.

Our pubs and restaurants host live music, D.J’s and get involved throughout the year- let us know who deserves a pat on the back .

At Fyne Associates we want to celebrate all of those people who are the lifeblood of Faringdon. We want to show nothing but positives and highlight just how we can appreciate and help each other. So, in September, we will be opening nominations for our first Faringdon’s ‘Fynest’ Awards.

This is a chance for you to give a shout out to those businesses and people you think deserve some recognition. Nomination is absolutely free to enter, and we will announce our finalists on 5th November. The winners will then be announced at a special event in December where everyone will be welcome.

GET NOMINATING. LET’S GIVE THOSE SPECIAL PEOPLE A LITTLE BIT OF RECOGNITION
