Root and Branch is a small charity located on Westmill Farm, near Watchfield and Faringdon. We offer therapeutic activities for adults with mental health difficulties. Our activity areas include Gardening, Woodwork, Blacksmithing, Crafts, Ceramics and Cooking.

We currently have vacancies for any volunteers who can lead a weekly activity in one of these areas. If you are qualified or experienced and would be comfortable leading a group of around 3 adults to build their confidence in a beautiful setting, please get in touch with us. Our volunteers come once a week from 9.30 a.m.– 2.30 p.m. and find the work extremely rewarding. We are a warm community of friendly local people dedicated to improving the lives of those who need our support. We offer great facilities including a wonderful garden, and well-equipped craft room, workshops, kiln room and forge.

We are always pleased to hear from either working or retired people with a professional background who would have the time and skills to become a trustee of Root and Branch.

For an informal chat, or to arrange a visit, please email Karen English at rootandbranch@btconnect.com

Many of us have clothes hanging in our wardrobe that we no longer wear. That does not mean to say there is anything wrong with them but perhaps they no longer fit, your lifestyle has changed, and you no longer require business clothes to wear to work or you are simply bored with them. Now, thanks to an initiative organised by Sustainable Wantage and Grow Families, you can be part of a Clothes Swap taking place at Wantage Methodist Church in Newbury Street on Saturday 19th October.
