If you are looking for inspiration for your Christmas gifts a visit to the West Ox Arts Art and Craft Makers ‘Winter Festival’ is just the place to find some truly beautiful and unusual items crafted by local artists and artisans. Running from Saturday 9 November through to 22 December, the exhibition will constantly change over the six weeks leading up to Christmas as items are sold and replaced. It may be worth more than one visit as you are sure to see something new every time.
Not only will you be able to find some unique gifts, but there will be a wonderful selection of festive cards for the holiday season. Come prepared for a visual and tactile feast from glass to jewellery, watercolour to oils, ceramics to textile arts, sculpted creations to wire and wood, you will find craftsmanship at its very best. There really is the most wonderful collection of exhibits to choose from.
The West Ox Arts Gallery welcomes you to their Bampton Gallery to visit the WOA Art and Craft Makers ‘Winter festival ‘ which commences on Saturday 9 November and will run all the way through to the 22 December. This is a great opportunity to stock up on some unique gifts and cards for the holiday season.
Located in the heart of Bampton in the Market Square, the West Ox Arts Gallery is open Tuesday-Saturday 11.30am-4.30pm and Sunday 2pm to 4pm. Closed on Mondays.
The first floor Gallery is easily accessible as, in addition to the main staircase, there is a permanent ramp and lift. Parking can be found in and around the Market Square. Alongside the various exhibitions held each year, there is also a permanent gallery shop selling smaller items including jewellery, textiles and art cards – all of which make excellent gifts.
West Ox Arts (WOA) is a charitable organisation dedicated to promoting the arts in West Oxfordshire. With a proud history as one of the oldest galleries in the county, WOA celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023. They offer an inclusive membership program, welcoming artists of all backgrounds and skill levels. You can become a member without having any actual skills, merely a love of supporting an art venue to help promote creativity in West Oxfordshire.
