West Oxfordshire Community Transport (WOCT) is a community owned co-operative which runs seven bus routes around West Oxfordshire, providing vital transport links for the local community, including canines accompanied by a responsible owner.

There are various available for people living in and around Witney. Witney Town Services 213, 214 and 215 link the outlying areas of the town with the centre. Routes 214 and 215 run Monday to Saturday, with 213 running on Monday and Friday only. The 213 and 214 start in the Market Square (bus stop D next to Barclays Bank) and then, after running down Bridge Street, the 213 turns left into West End and the 214 right into Newland.

The 215 starts in the Market Square (bus stop A outside the Town Hall) and then travels to the Smiths Estate via Corn Street and Curbridge Road, before returning to the Market Square via Springfield Oval and Moor Avenue.

The 216 Shoppers Special, which runs from Witney Market Square Stop A to Sainsbury’s and Lidl, returns to the Dogs travel tooMarket Square Stop A on Monday and Fridays only (except on Bank Holidays when no service operates).

Services, which are supported by Witney Town Council, offer a half-hourly service in the mornings on Monday to Friday and an hourly service in the afternoon. On Saturdays, the 214 and 215 services run hourly.

WOCT is a Community Benefit Society, conducting business for the benefit of the community. Any surpluses are not distributed among member of external shareholders, instead they are returned to the organisation for further investment in its business objectives.

West Oxfordshire Community Transport (WOCT) is a community-owned co-operative, running seven bus routes across the district and providing vital transport links for the local community. Their operations are overseen by Andrew Lyon, a qualified Transport Manager, and our buses are driven by a team of community-minded, paid bus drivers. We employ a part-time Administrator, who oversees data input, payroll and general administrative tasks as well as managing our website content and writing our newsletters. All other tasks – HR, Finance, Technology, Bookkeeping, Accounts, Marketing, Governance and Compliance – are undertaken by a group of volunteers from across the community.
