Kayley Godfrey, owner of Ouroboros Clothing

Ouroboros came from a desire to offer my hometown a more alternative clothing option. My aim was to create a space offering a wide range of styles under one roof, for the people who like to switch it up day to day and don’t want to shop on five different websites to achieve this.

Inside Ouroboros you will find beautiful bohemian clothing, classic band tees and 90’s grunge and modern American sportswear brands. We have footwear, body care products and quirky home accessories along with crystals and incense (we have to stick to some hippy stereotypes!)

We also try to source products from local artists and makers where we can.

I don’t believe in gendering clothing; a certain cut or design should not mean that only certain people should wear it. Nothing in Ouroboros is labelled for gender and is instead a melting pot of different shapes, sizes, and colours. We are therefore a safe space for all LGBTQ+ people and those of us who are just self-conscious when shopping.

For the eco-conscious, we offer a large range of vegan fabrics and beauty products so you can shop with confidence that they have been ethically sourced. Ouroboros also offers a second hand section for the thrifty folks, we’re introducing a permanent kilo sale section which will allow you to purchase a kilo worth of clothes for just £20, and if you have a kilo of pre-loved clothes that fit the shops general vibe – amazing if you bring them in, I’ll pay you £5 or you can simply swap them for a another kilo of second hand clothes, at no expense!

This is an incredibly sustainable and affordable form of shopping, that I am hoping will offer the people of witney yet another shopping alternative to the standard high street offerings.

“Ouroboros is a hidden treasure for anyone that wants to shop in a relaxed environment where you feel free to choose clothing based purely on what you like rather than a perceived gender label. A great ally to the LQBTQ community and gender non-conforming people.” - Witney Pride
