Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth at Grumpys Sweet Shop

divider

Do you remember when as a child your parents or grandparents would take you to a proper sweetshop where the shelves behind the counter held a vast assortment of sweet jars and making the difficult decision on what to choose became almost impossible.

The sweet shops of yesteryear also had that sweet aroma of sugar and everything on display was tempting. If you want to relive those memories and introduce your children to the magic that a traditional sweet shop offers, take a trip to Grumpys Sweet Shop in Fettiplace Witney. Easily accessible with parking outside, you will be in for a real, sugary treat.

Ken and Kathleen who run Grumpys had been selling sweets and Marshfields quality ice-cream but decided to expand operations and bring back the favourite flavours that we had all thought were gone forever. Currently there are in excess of 200 different varieties of sweets to choose from so do allow yourself some time to find your favourites. As well as a range of sugar-free sweets including Dandelion and Burdock, there are vegan and gluten free varieties too. Amongst the popular sweets you can find are Army & Navy with the original taste of liquorice. Other popular varieties include Coconut Mushrooms, Winter Mixture, Kopp Kopps, Chocolate Brazil’s coated with real milk chocolate not chocolate flavouring, even Ross’s of Edinburgh Scottish Tablet. American favourites include those made by Bazooka, Toxic Waste and Mike & Ike. For lovers of peanut brittle, coconut ice and sherbet fountains, you can have your sugar cravings satisfied too!

“We have brought back all the sweets that have disappeared, and which people loved to indulge themselves in buying,” says Ken. “There really is something for everyone in Grumpys Sweet Shop and we only stock quality products so our customers will never be disappointed with their sweet purchases. If there is something we have not got and it is available, we will, if at all possible, try and get them in. For people living outside of Witney who cannot get to our shop, we are open 24/7 online. Don’t be alarmed however as our website has a different name to our shop but you will be able to find what you are looking for at uksweet.shop. We are looking forward to welcoming people into Grumpys Sweet Shop and serving them with their old favourites and helping them to discover new ones is an absolute delight.”
