If you are looking for an evening of pure comedy, come along to Jenny Éclair’s brand new show when she comes to Chipping Norton on the 11 September. Jenny has been entertaining us on television for many years and she is inviting you to look back at what she can remember before she forgets everything! As always, you have to be prepared for the unexpected when Jenny takes to the stage so look out for punk poetry, animal impressions, even baritone nursery rhyme singing may feature. The evening is suitable for teenagers 14 years plus. Tickets are £19 and the performance starts at 7.30pm. To book your tickets visit chippingnortontheatre.com/events/jenny-éclair.

Starting on the 26 September to the 5 October, ‘Murder for Two’ by Kellen Blair and Joe Kinosian brings an anarchic musical mystery with a twist to the stage: one actor investigates the crime, whilst the other plays all the suspects! And they both play the piano throughout! When the body of an acclaimed novelist is discovered at his birthday party, all the guests fall under suspicion. Can local police officer and wannabe Detective, Marcus, solve the mystery before the experts arrive? With non-stop live music from a shared piano, and side splitting entertainment, Murder for Two will keep you guessing until the final note. Get your tickets now for an evening of non-stop hilarity and rave reviews. “A hilarious musical whodunnit!” The New York Observer.

Elliot Clay who has appeared in The Mousetrap in London’s West End and Million Dollar Quartet at the Royal Festival Hall, plays Marcus. Lucy Keirl, who appeared in ‘The 39 Steps’ at the Stephen Joseph Theatre plays The Suspects.

This play is suitable for young people aged 12 and over. There is a Relaxed performance available on the 28 September and an Audio-described performance on the 4 October. Tickets, including booking fee, are £18, £15 for concessions. Tickets are available at.chippingnortontheatre.com/events/murder-for-two.

As part of The Theatre’s 50th anniversary celebrations, they are holding a The Theatre Feast, a celebratory birthday feast of entertainment and amazing food on 19 October. The Theatre’s auditorium and stage will be set with tables laden with a delicious feast from acclaimed open-fire wizards, Pit Kitchen, offering gourmet, locally sourced, seasonal street food, with plentiful vegetarian and vegan options. Irreverent, colourful entertainment, performed in and around the tables, will include grown-up silliness from everyone’s favourite clown, Tweedy (Giffords Circus) and acrobatic cabaret hilarity from Cabaret with Claws. Join theatre staff, friends and supporters for a night of fun, food and music … there might even be a birthday cake!

Tickets include a 3 course sharing menu from Pit Kitchen, a welcome drink and a night of entertainment. Guests will be sat at benches at shared tables. Suggested ticket price £80 and guests are invited to donate £20 per ticket as this is a fundraising event for The Theatre.
